Buying bamboo toilet paper: compare sheets and comfort
Published Updated By Bamboo Disposables

Buying bamboo toilet paper? Compare more than the price of a box. Ply, sheets per roll, colour and available storage all help determine which option suits you. This guide compares the three regular Bamboo Disposables options and explains how to assess their cost on the same basis.

2-ply, white 3-ply or unbleached 3-ply?

Each regular box contains 48 rolls. The main differences are ply, sheet count and appearance. One sheet consists of the stated number of plies: 250 sheets of 3-ply paper means 250 usable sheets, not 750.

3-ply Premium white325012,000

When should you choose 2-ply?

Choose 2-ply unbleached if you want a practical option with plenty of sheets per roll. It can suit everyday use at home, in an office or in a shared washroom. A higher sheet count does not mean every user will make a box last equally long: the amount of paper used each time still varies.

When should you choose 3-ply?

Choose 3-ply when a fuller, softer feel matters. Premium white has the familiar white appearance, while the unbleached option retains a natural beige colour. Both 3-ply options contain 250 sheets per roll. Compare them mainly by colour and your own comfort preference.

Compare the price per 100 sheets

A low price per roll tells you little when rolls contain different numbers of sheets. Use the same unit for both products:

Price per 100 sheets = total order price ÷ total sheets × 100.

For illustration only, not a current selling price: a €36 box containing 12,000 sheets costs €0.30 per 100 sheets. Use the same VAT basis and include any delivery charges when comparing. Consumers should compare prices including VAT.

This measure has limits too. Sheet size, ply and the number of sheets you actually use can differ. The lowest price per 100 sheets is therefore not automatically the lowest cost per toilet visit or the most comfortable choice.

How much stock do you need?

Start with your own usage. Record how many rolls your household or location uses over four weeks. Divide 48 by the average number of rolls used each week for an initial estimate of how long one box will last. Usage may change with a different product, so measure again after switching.

Check that you have a dry storage space. A larger bundle can reduce ordering frequency, but needs more room. Check the quantities available at the time of ordering and the price and terms attached to your choice.

One-time order or subscription?

A one-time order suits a first purchase or changing usage. A toilet paper subscription can be useful when your needs are predictable. Before ordering, check the delivery interval, quantity, current discount and terms for changing or stopping the subscription. Always compare subscription and one-time prices for the same quantity.

Check materials, packaging and certification

The regular options are made from bamboo fibres and packed without plastic. Check the selected product for certification and processing details. A certification supports specific characteristics; it does not prove that a product performs better than every alternative on every environmental measure. Read about toilet paper certifications and our claims and supporting evidence.

Try it first or order for a business?

Unsure about the feel? The paid 4-roll try-out lets you try one selected option. It is a one-time consumer purchase. For business enquiries, multiple locations or larger recurring volumes, request a quote.

Compare all options and check current prices. Review your chosen quantity, delivery information and ordering terms on the product page before checkout.
